Giving Hope to the Homeless Since 1975
The Chattanooga Rescue Mission is a non-profit 501(c)3 faith-based organization that believes that God’s Word has all the answers to man’s sin problem. It is our goal to share God’s saving grace with all of our guests. One of the first steps in this process is providing food, shelter and clothing to those in need. As we meet these basic needs, we pray that God will open their hearts to any spiritual needs that they may have. Ninety-six percent of our funding comes from individuals within and around our community who believe in the work of the mission. An additional 4% comes from supporting churches and local businesses.
It is our desire to reach people whom others would consider unreachable. We are dedicated to ministering to the needs of the homeless and transient population in our area. Our shelter guests are treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. All our shelter guests are provided hot, balanced meals, showers, clean beds, and safe shelter for the night. We endeavor to provide a healthy alternative to the temptations of street life. Our goal at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission is to show the love of Christ to a lost and dying world.
Hours of Operation
The Mission is open for clothes donations and to the general public on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Saturday and Sunday we are closed until shelter time.
The shelter entrance walk gates are open from 5 PM to 8 PM daily during shelter time.
